What to Wear if You Have Short and Thick Legs

Have you got thick, short legs? Not alone, are you! I am a petite friend with thick legs, so I sense your annoyance. As much as we

want to accept the bodies we have been given completely, it can be a process to learn how to dress them in a flattering way,

regardless of our height and shape.

Now, as a short girl, if your legs happen to be thick too, the style mix adds another dynamic. I wanted to share some of the style

tricks I've learned over the years to help you move into the new season with trust with spring and summer in full effect and style.

Luckily, women's clothing online boutiques have some breezy and lightweight season styles. It is quick to follow these tips from, and let's dive right in.

Concentrate on the Upper Half

Okay, so you'd like your legs to be longer and slimmer. The best way to build more balance in your entire form is to dress to move

the attention away from your thick legs. When we don't do so, it also strengthens what we're born with and can make our legs look

much more dense and shorter than they are. I know, I know the worst fear of a petite woman!

There are countless ways, as I have said, to bring attention to the top half. Playing with colors is a perfect way to add more

attention to the top half of your body. What works typically is to wear a neutral color on the bottom with color pop on the top half.

Avoid Clingy Materials on the Bottom

Now you know that you want to concentrate more on the top half of your body, which means that the bottom half may want

to avoid clingy fabrics. Wearing clingy, very close-fitting clothes on your lower half (skirts, trousers, etc.) will do the opposite of

creating harmony and will bring your lower half to all attention.

So go for skirts, trousers, or jeans instead of those skin-tight bottoms that give you a little more room to run. Think of pants like,

for example, a straight leg vs. a skinny leg.

Embrace High Heels

The majority of petite women are faithful to high heels. We love a little extra height! High heels are even more beneficial for you

when you have short, thick legs. Unfortunately, many flat shoes literally and figuratively appear to pull you down and cause your

thick legs to look thicker. While there are exceptions to each rule if you want to build legs that look leaner, pop a heel on them!

"Don't worry though, that's not necessary if you can't carry a 6" high heel all day long. Even a heel of medium height would suffice

to give you an extra boost in length to flatter your thick legs.

Skip Ankle Straps

There are high heel and flat shoe styles that dense-leg ladies need to avoid at all costs while we're on the subject of shoes.

Straps to Foot. A woman with short and thick legs, ankle straps are not a good option. As much as I like giving you creative leeway to rock what you love to wear—wondering why this style doesn't extend to thick legs?

Right at the ankle, wearing an ankle strap cuts off the leg line, which is not good when you have short and thick legs. In truth, by

drawing attention to our thick legs and making them appear more extensive, the ankle strap emphasizes this fact when you have

thick legs.

To be very frank, for any petite woman, ankle straps are not great because they cause us to look shorter. Do yourself a favor and

skip the ankle strap heels and shoes. For my fellow thick-leg petites, there are so many other better choices!

A-Line Suits the Best

We went through some of the types of pants you should choose to flatter thick legs, but you might be curious about dresses and

skirts. I don't know about you, but for their convenience and because they're fun to wear during the warm weather months, this

time of year I live in skirts and dresses.

So, these are the tips for a woman who has short and thick legs. You can try out these tips any time and get a taller look for your upcoming occasions. If you miss out on any of the stuff mentioned above, you can check out the trendy women's clothing at an online boutique.
